Accounts Administrator

Skyway Ltd and Glow Lighting are an established group of companies operating across the property rental, construction and finishing industries.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Administrator to support the finance operations of two growing businesses – a Property Leasing Company and a Lighting Supply Company. The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day accounting functions, supporting the finance team, and ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all financial matters.
You’ll be working closely with our external senior accountant (on-site twice weekly) and liaising across departments to ensure smooth financial operations.

This role reports directly to the Managing Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Posting expenses and issuing payments
  • Carrying out weekly bank reconciliations and monitoring daily transactions
  • Issuing invoices when necessary and managing credit control, including following up on outstanding payments
  • Entering and tracking stock; assisting store and logistics personnel to keep stock updated and organized
  • Assisting with ordering light products
  • Liaising with suppliers to ensure smooth order and invoice processing
  • Maintaining an organized filing system for all company documents, in collaboration with the Skyway Manager and Managing Director
  • Supporting administrative processes and helping implement improvements when necessary
  • Producing financial reports and supporting the external senior accountant (on-site twice weekly)
  • Collaborating with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process

Requirements:

  • Understanding of basic accounting principles
  • 1–2 years experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role based in Malta
  • Knowledge of inventory and stock systems for a supply business
  • Proficiency in Xero, Excel, as well as experience with other accounting tools.
  • Experience working across multiple entities
  • While some onboarding support will be provided, we’re looking for someone with enough experience to work independently on day-to-day tasks.

The following attributes will be considered an asset:

  • Proficiency in both English and Maltese.
  • Experience putting systems and procedures in place – setting things up properly from scratch
  • Able to assist us in setting up a new accounting software which works for us.

Sales Consultant – Lighting Design

We’re seeking an enthusiastic and driven Sales Consultant who brings the following to the table:

  • Proven experience in sales.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to quickly learn new software.
  • Confident communicator, capable of engaging with clients effectively.
  • Comfortable with numbers and basic calculations, especially when it comes to measurements.
  • Able to draft clear, concise, and professional emails.
  • A keen eye for design and aesthetics.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently, ensuring client satisfaction from inquiry to delivery.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to address client needs and offer tailored solutions.
  • Comfortable giving presentations or demonstrations of products and services to clients.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, particularly when reviewing quotes, and technical specifications.

Bonus Points If You:

  • Have experience in the lighting industry.
  • Hold qualifications in any of the following fields: Design/Architecture/Commerce/Communications.
  • Are proficient in AutoCAD.
  • Are aware of current trends in the lighting and design industry and have a willingness to stay updated.

Assistant Sales Consultant – Lighting Design

What We’re Looking For
