Creating a wall of emotions
We rely on natural light to regulate our waking and sleeping hours, and our mood. In interior environments, such as homes and hospitality settings, artificial light picks up where exterior light leaves off. So, recreating the right ambience and lighting indoors, calls for the perfect balance between different types of light. Functional downlighters, and in fact most lighting from above, tell us it’s time to be energized and alert. Softer, seductive wall lighting on the other hand, changes the mood and invites us to get together and relax.
At Modular, we love the special time of day that’s unofficially defined by sunset. We characterized it as a blend of cosiness, emotions and inspiration. It’s why we look at wall lighting as a way of accentuating the horizon level and capturing that feeling of warmth and perhaps a glass of wine with friends. From a façade with character
Art is a catalyst for emotions and we like to include it in our work. We love to stimulate designers and invite them to play with art and feeling for their wall expressions. To a wall that says relax
For a more approachable wall luminaire bringing warm lighting indoors and defining intimate spaces, there are plenty of calmer, yet stylish options. The simple, tubular shape of Duell, or the naughtier Trapz inviting interior colour to show a little more. Sulfer expresses a subtle, rectangular shape, while its mysterious cousin, Split, reveals nothing but a sliver of warm light. A selection of anodized colours reminds us of warm sunset tones and offers a natural, warm light. Well-positioned at horizon level, these mood makers will pick up where the sunset whispers have a nice evening.
